Crescent Meadow, Bridgewater, MA
This 3800 sq. ft. custom home rests on a former diary farm and was designed to address a few unique site conditions. The front of the property faces north and faces the public road while the southern side of the home has beautiful views out to the meadow beyond.
The home was designed so that all of the living spaces were located on the southern side of the home so that they can take full advantage of the views out to the meadow which is visited frequently by deer and coyote. The north side of the home was designed to contain circulation spaces such stairways and hallways as well as the garage which act as privacy buffers from street allowing the living spaces to focus on the peaceful views to the south.
The cedar shingled flares on the gable ends and woven shingle corners are reminiscent of older shingle style homes located along the Massachusetts coast.
